Hi,
I was reading the examiner’s approach to P5 and in it it says there is a new pilot paper from June 2013 exams.
Would this be relevant for December 2012 exams as well?

Thanks,
SpencerSeptember 23, 2012 at 6:00 pm #75840No. The change is from June 2013. The Dec 2012 exam format is as previously.

I guess it wouldn’t hurt going through the paper though anyway?
September 27, 2012 at 6:07 pm #75843The pilot paper relevant for the June 2013 exams are just ‘copy-paste’ questions from the previous exam sittings. There’s nothing to panic about – it’s just doing one question lesser. (albeit all the questions in June 2013 will be longer)
Alex Watt’s style continues to delve on to even more critical analysis and deeper specifics into the case context and models. So the June 2013 exam will definitely be a bigger challenge on your mental interpretation and wider reading. (but this doesn’t mean slacking off for the Dec 2012 exam either…)
