Hi, I have so far completed 5 essentials out of 9, I still have to complete 4 options.
When the PER changes over in February to only needing to complete 5 essentials, will the 5 I have already done be enough then to fulfil this part leaving me with only 4 options to complete?
I don’t want to spend time filling in more essentials if I don’t have to when this time could be used for exam study.

It depends which 5 you have completed. The link below shows the old objectives and their new equivalent.
As there’s 9 today and only 5 tomorrow, you can achieve the 5 new objectives without completing all 9, but you’d have to have been very lucky for the 5 you have done to match exactly with the new objectives.
I’ve done 7/9 of the mandatory ones and thankfully that maps through to achieving all 5 of the new ones.
I’ve also done 3 of the optional ones so need 1 more. But as I’ve done both audit objectives that translates as 3 new audit ones.
So i think i’m done!
Thats great thanks Kris this is much more info than ACCA provided when i called today! I was even told by the operator they werent sure how the old ones would migrate into the new objectives.
I’ve completed objectives 2,4,5,6 & 7 so i think this should get me new objectives 2,4 & 5. I have 1 & 8 ready to write up and submit so i might do this so the 5 essentials would be complete.

Hi,
I have already completed all exams and planning to submit PER statements.
It would be great, If anyone could provide me sample write ups for statements.
It would give me a start point to build up my own statements, based on my area of work.
