Has anybody done the new 200-300 word reflective statement for the performance objectives?
I am having trouble starting. Are the 300 words words supposed to describe how you achieved each element of the objective?
April 13, 2016 at 1:06 pm #310005I don’t think that you have to describe each element of the objective, just a statement on the overall description…
“Write a short statement of 200-300 words in the box below telling us what you did to meet the objective and highlighting any lessons you learned. Your statement should be a concise explanation of how you achieved the performance objective. Remember that you only need to cover the description of the performance objective. You don’t need to summarise all the activities you carried out to achieve the individual elements.
We’ll need details of one or two tasks that you’ve been involved with for each performance objective. The tasks should relate closely to the objective’s description.
When you save your statement your word count will update. If your saved statement is between 200-300 words then claim objective will appear above. Click this to add your performance objective to the basket- so you can submit it to your supervisor for sign-off.”

September 6, 2016 at 3:28 pm #338306Has acca chnaged the per method? No 3 questions anymore? Just one 200-300 word narrative on each per? And how many pers are there. Is it 9 or 13 in total. Thanks!!
September 8, 2016 at 2:16 pm #339055To answer my question….no 3 questions anymore, only 1 statement of 200-300 words for each PER. However I would like to see a sample of such statements. Does anyone have such a sample. ACCA hasnt uploaded such a sample yet as they had for the old 3 Q format.
Thanks!!September 21, 2016 at 10:19 am #341189I’ve been looking for a sample statement too, the challenge questions gave you much more guidance for what to write.
If anyone has any advice on how to write the statement I’d be grateful 🙂

Im having problem to write the statement for the performance objective..Any sample???? If anyone with a sample…??
November 21, 2016 at 2:34 pm #350343Hi everyone. Please help. I have no idea how to structure the statement for the performance objectives.
Has anyone got any examples that you dont mind sharing?December 7, 2016 at 12:13 pm #354971hey guys ,
i have started my studies and went through to completion whilst i was employed in not so relevant roles. Now i want to complete my PER. The first challenge i have encountered is how on earth do i determine %relevance of a role on any of my roles. For now i have just updated with wild percentages to see what happens but I am not sure if its the right way.
i would really appreciate if anyone in my situation may assist….
December 28, 2016 at 10:30 am #364586Hi,
Is there a possibility to get sample answers for performance objectives ? even though I have covered all the objectives in my work role .I am unable to put them in words without a proper guidance. Appreciate if someone could help me in this matter.
Thanks,

found this in on the PER guide document on their website
“If your job only includes some accountancy or finance work then the time you spend
on these activities can still count towards your 36 months’ experience. For example,
if only 25% of your working time during the year is spent on accounting or finance
tasks, you can claim three months out of a possible 12 as relevant time. When you
record your role in My Experience you must input the percentage of time you spend
on accountancy or finance activities, the relevant time you can claim will then be
calculated automatically.”Seems fairly straightforward – if you spend half of your time on accounting a finance stuff then your role is 50% relevant. put in 50% and apparently the system will work our your time pro rata.
January 24, 2017 at 9:46 pm #369378Hi ALL,
Please can anyone help with a saple reflective statement on any objective achieved or can someone please brief me on how to go about it? Pleaseee
January 25, 2017 at 9:12 pm #369578I’ll not say I found the PER a quick process, but surely if we want to be accountants we should be able complete PER without copying from someone else or needing an example?
The only person who reads it unless audited is whoever signs it off, so I think talking to that person is the best option.
January 26, 2017 at 2:50 pm #369756Apologies if this has already been asked but I can’t see the answer. Do we need to submit a statement/summary for all of the elements of the objective which you need to claim or us the summary that’s required just in relation to the overall objective.
February 3, 2017 at 4:29 pm #370941I was just wondering if anyone else has had trouble in submitting their PER statements to their supervisor for sign off.
I have had to call ACCA three times to try and get it to work. I have had to disable and then reapply for my supervisor to be approved and resend the statements. After two attempts they had still not be received.
I called ACCA on Monday to ask for assistance again………………no idea what they did but on Tuesday my supervisor received an email advising that I had sent information to their MYACCA. Hopefully that will be the end of this saga………been ongoing since November.

I faced exactly the same issue. The email ACCA send to the supervisor for registration requires them to create a user id. Afterwards they will need to go into “my ACCA” through the ACCA home page and click on forgot password. That sends a link to their email to reset/ create the password. They will then need to go back into my acca and login using the user id they created through the link and the password they just created. Once inside, they will see a request from you to confirm their agreement to be your supervisor. Once confirmed, right away it will create a connection and you should be able to submit the per for approval.
I know exactly the most confusing process ACCA has in place on this. My supervisor is an FD of a one of the large companies. I was so happy for him to agree to sign off for me but all these extra clicks here and there just caused so much extra time of him. At one stage i actually thought he will refuse for being a supervisor but hats off for his patience. At the end of the day supervisors arent gaining anything out of this and ACCA should do something to improve this silly process.
I had to ring numerious times to ACCA to find out the steps described above. Thought to put out there in case if it can help someone else facing the same issues.
