Hi Mike !
I have been attempting F7 from last 4 sessions and getting average score of 46. I am a part time student and doing self study. My study pattern is based on past papers and an old BPP syllabus book. Please advise me how can I best prepare my self for the F7 Dec-2014 attempt keeping in view the short time and new exam format ???
Thanks & Regards
October 21, 2014 at 4:14 pm #205265Practice over and over again all the mcqs you can get your hands on (here’s a tip – DON’T write in the book of mcqs what you believe is the correct answer. That way you can keep coming back time and time again to practice those mcqs without spoiling it for yourself)
Study and get fully on top of (by practising past exam question) the topics of consolidations, cash flows, interpretations and all those past exam questions 2. Update the BPP book by downloading the “missing” exams from off this site
Just practice, practice and practice some more

I have downloaded all the past papers. I can’t get what you advised as follows.
” 2. Update the BPP book by downloading the “missing” exams from off this site ”
I have an old BPP Book of 2007. I have read all the important standards from this book + I have read the opentution notes and I am also practicing past papers but not in exam style becaz i can’t manage time due to my job and domestic issues.
What to do Next ???
Please Advise !
Regards
October 23, 2014 at 8:45 am #205529Practice all those questions that you have downloaded since 2007 (before 2007 is not really worth looking at 🙁 )
Download the specimen exam paper from this site to give you an idea of the new format.
Keep practicing consolidations, the old question 2 type questions, cash flows and interpretations – the examiner has to set a 30 mark question and all those topics that I have just mentioned were old style 25 markers. It seems likely to me that the 30 mark question in the exam will be based on one of those topics
The syllabus itself is essentially unaltered (make sure that you are up-to-date with IAS 41 Agriculture) so just practice, practice and then practice some more
Hope that helps
