    Hi, thanks for your post.

I have no idea which topics are going to be asked in the 3 questions! If I did, I would by now have entered the national lottery and won millions and certainly would not be sitting here answering questions – I would be relaxing in the sun with a cool drink!

Yes, there will be a selection of multi-choice questions on the site for the F7 paper – coming soon, watch this space

Are the current lecture videos applicable for December 2014 exams? And why don’t we have chapters 1 to 6?

Oh dear! If you would give me just $1 for every time I have been asked “Where are the lectures for chapters 1 to 6?” I would be a rich man!

I believe that in fact it’s only 1 to 5 that are missing. They don’t have a great deal of meat in the topics. We have to run a complete course in just four and a half days so necessarily there are sections of the course notes that are not covered by lectures. The really meaty sections are – those that are most likely to be asked in an exam (at least, an exam up to and including June 2014)

Yes, the recorded lectures are still good for December 2014. There isn’t a video for IAS 41 and I’m tipping that now in July as a likely exam topic for December 2014. There is however a brief chapter on Agriculture

    Dear Mike Sir,

I will be giving DipIFR Exam (Acca) this December. I want to know which specific calculator can I use in this exam? I am a bit confused – financial or scientific or simple one?

    Thanks in advance 🙂

    Regards,
    Swati

For DipIFRS I believe that a simple old-fashioned straight-forward calculator is sufficient. Even an abacus would do! Or some counting beads. In short, I don’t believe that a scientific calculator is necessary

    Hope that helps
