I was hoping to start studying for this week for 2 exams in December (SBL and either P4 or P5) if I passed June’s P2 sitting. However, I failed P2 (45%), and now I’m not sure whether to start studying for the SBL now for december’s sitting along with studying for September’s SBR exam or whether I should just concentrate on the SBR exam and start studying for the SBL after the SBR exam in September.
July 16, 2018 at 1:33 pm #463174I think there is a danger that if you think of only starting SBL studies for December exam after you’ve sat SBR in September that you will wait on SBR result and leave yourself with only 6 weeks of preparation for SBL (presumably alongside a job). I suggest you take a look at the SBR resources to appreciate how it differs from P2 and plan how much time you need to spend in preparation for September. If you feel comfortable that you will have spare time for study consider AFM(P4) or APM(P5) for December rather than SBL. If you don’t feel comfortable about preparing for another exam before September you could enter for SBL in March rather than December.
July 17, 2018 at 12:51 am #463322I study with BPP and have pass assurance so I should be able to pick up the exam knowledge again fairly quickly using the lectures and new course material.
One issue I have is that if I book and take the bpp sbl taught course now, since i won’t be sitting the exam until December. I won’t be able to gain access after the september exam. So I’m thinking of watching all then OT lecures and then book the bpp course for September. If more support is needed
