Hey all,
Could somebody help me explain the meaning of this word as use in f9: ex div; ex interest. I have read it in question 1 in the pilot paper but do not understand the meaning .plse need with explanation.
Thks
Ex- basically means after, So lets say for example you bought some shares in a company ‘ex div’, it means that dividends have already been paid to the person selling them to you i.e. you are not entitled to dividend until the following quarter or year.
The same can be said for ‘ex interest’.
Thks very much.have just follow the full lecture and now have a clear understanding of the concept.
thanks
