Good day.
I did this exam in Dec 2015 and got 45, redo it March 2016 and got 46. I was sure I passed this time. I previously studied with BPP both kit and text last year but switched to Becker exam kit which I find to be more useful. I also watched your lectures. This is my last exam and I really need some help to get pass this.
Please advise.
Thank you.
April 19, 2016 at 8:04 am #311608It is hard to advise because I don’t know how confident (or not confident) you are with the various topics in the exam, nor do I know how you actually approached the exam.
Obviously if there are topics you are still unsure about then you need to go back to the study text or our lectures and get them sorted (and ask here if there are still problems). As far as approach is concerned I think it might help you to watch the lectures I have recorded working through a few question 1’s from recent exams. In these I discuss the approach to getting the marks as well as the technical content. (You can find them linked from the main P4 page).
Also, do make use of the resources on the ACCA website – especially the examiners comments and the technical articles.
April 19, 2016 at 11:54 am #311665I am pretty much comfortable with most topic except Business Valuation. I downloaded the examiners comments and will be paying more attention. Should I only concentrate on only questions set by the new examiner since Dec 2010?
Thank you John.
April 19, 2016 at 2:28 pm #311709Although the questions set by the current examiner are certainly the most important, the more practice you get the better.
If you download our free Study Guide then I list the ‘best’ questions to practice on 🙂
