hi mike
im actually very angry at the moment, this is my second time sitting this paper and failing!!! i blieve ive done my best, and i fully understand the subject, and i did several mock exams before exam day, im really confused don’t know what’s going wrong that i need to fix!!
ACCA’s biggest problem is that we don’t get to see our scripts marking, to see where we gone wrong and develope!
i’ve passed p1 p2 first time without struggle, p3 and p7 which are considered easiest to majority and most poplular, are my struggle which confuses me the most! i had to sit p3 3 times till i passed.
please help me, tell me what i should do!July 18, 2016 at 10:09 am #326870and im confused what to sit after a month and a half! i have p7 and p4 left, p4 i first sat june 2015 once, so which recommend i better sit now! or both!
i blieve there’s a luck matter now
regardsJuly 18, 2016 at 10:38 am #326912p.s i scored 40 now and 30 last time on p7
for p4 i scored 44 when i sat
Can I answer one previous question paper and post it for marking so that I can be able to identify how I do wrong please?July 18, 2016 at 12:55 pm #327059Tuta, here’s a response that I’ve just written to another student that is suffering the same as you.
I believe that it should help to identify and address some of your issues
Tuta, there’s no way that we will ever (never say never) be in a position to be able to accept and assess students’ mock exams so I’m afraid that’s a no-no, sorry
As for where you’re going wrong, here’s what I wrote 10 minutes ago in response to a different post from another student.
I believe that it may help to solve your problem
Practice exam technique
Practice time management
Plan answers within the planning time allocation and then check your plans against the printed solution
Did you make enough separate points
Did you answer the question
Did you plan as many points as there are marks available
Have you read any of my posts to previous similar questions where I have given advice on how to move forward?
Well, have you?
Have you timed your handwriting to see just how much you can write in 1 minute 18 seconds? Because that’s the MAXIMUM length of any sentence that you write in the exam. The MAXIMUM
Did you follow ANY exam technique tips at all in June?
July 18, 2016 at 3:55 pm #327216i actually did that all that’s why im so confused 🙁 i’ve following all that i have a previous thread (general confusing questions) where i asked about all that and followed ur advice, may be i need more practice and comprehension .
so what do u recommend best to sit next session! u didn’t answer this one!
regardsJuly 18, 2016 at 6:58 pm #327320Read, read and read again and again
Immerse yourself in P7 answers noting their style and the way they can make multiple separate points from just a single idea
You need to write 10 paragraphs / sentences to score 10 marks
Between now and September just read and then, half way through August, start practicing PLANNING answers
Post again around August 15 for the next instalment!
July 19, 2016 at 11:04 pm #327826ok i do that again, do u think listening to OP lectures to refresh knowledge would be benficial or time wasting now!
thanks 🙂July 20, 2016 at 7:07 am #327893As a refresher, that would be a good idea – if only to get you back into auditing mode
Surely anything P7 related could not be classed as a waste of time. Admittedly, some P7 related activities may be seen to be not the most effective use of the time available but, even so, they should not be viewed as a total waste!
