Hello Sir,
I have a question about multistage sampling
In ur lecture u gave an example of files being divided into blocks(groups) of 100 and told that randomly choose 10 files from every block created in case of multistage sampling.
in the ot notes its written that
a company has several thousand purchase invoices filed, filling
20 files(groups). Take a random sample of (say) 5 files, and then a random sample of (say) 20
invoices from each of these files.so here they are not selecting all the files but they choose randomly 5 files among 20.so i wanna clear that once we create the groups, do we have to choose randomly among the groups, or we have to choose items randomly from every group created.
or both is possible?October 30, 2016 at 9:41 am #346650It is as is written in the notes.
Thanks for pointing out – my example in the lecture is one specific example of this and I should change it a bit.
October 30, 2016 at 1:16 pm #346666okay so the groups are also randomly selected.
