January 23, 2014 at 4:44 pm #154374There are changes to the format of all of the F exams!
F1, F2, and F3 change from 26 February (and there are details posted on this website about them) – both for CBE and for paper based exams.
F4 to F9 change for the December paper based exams (and F4 becomes available as CBE also).
The syllabuses are not changing at present – only the format of the exams.
January 23, 2014 at 7:00 pm #154377A minor element falls out of the F4 syllabus – corporate governance – but it never was a big issue at F4

will professional level also change ?
January 23, 2014 at 9:40 pm #154383Will you be able to enter F4 as a CBE anytime like F1-F3 from December, or still just in June/December?
I was going to do F4 & 5 in June but if you can do F4 anytime from December I might be better doing F5 and a different paper so I can take F4 seperate from the main exam periods and focus just on that next January for instance? Any advice?
January 24, 2014 at 5:43 am #154387The professional level exams are not changing.
January 24, 2014 at 5:43 am #154388F4 will also be CBE later in 2014

January 31, 2014 at 7:41 pm #154738Hello!
Good new, ACCA has just published the Specimen Exams with the multiple choice/new structure.

F7: https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/f7/specimen/f7-specimen-d14.pdf
F8: https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/f8/specimen/f8-specimen-d14.pdf
F9: https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/f9/specimen/f9-specimen-d14.pdfJanuary 31, 2014 at 9:59 pm #154740Do appreciate that these are for the December exams.
The exam structures for June 2014 exams are not changing.
January 31, 2014 at 10:18 pm #154742Yep I know. 🙂
June 7, 2014 at 4:18 pm #175037This is absolutely stupid. ACCA is MCQ – This will destroy ACCA. The ACCA is a high professional exam not a driving test. The whole point is to test accountancy students knowledge thoroughly through scenarion style questions. To be a part of this you want quality not easy MCQ… I inform to object to this… and keep old forma……
June 7, 2014 at 4:25 pm #175041Only part of the exams will be MCQ’s
However do give your feedback to the ACCA. (Obviously we are completely independent of them)
June 7, 2014 at 4:34 pm #175045What a load of STUPIDENESS …… lOOK HOW EASY IT WILL BECOME… STUDENTS DONT LET THIS HAPPEN……..
June 7, 2014 at 4:39 pm #175046Although I myself am not completely happy with the change, it will not necessarily make it easier.
The MCQs will mean that much more of the syllabus can be tested in each exam than is possible at present.June 7, 2014 at 4:40 pm #175048I WILL TAKE THIS UP WITH ACCA doesnt matter if its part MCQ. When I studied the Foundation papers they were full theory questions and very well examined. I dont want MCQ …making it easier for students who are incompetent to deal with high level intellect..
John i hope you will see my frustration and inform ACCA that this is stupid
June 7, 2014 at 4:52 pm #175051I will be taking this with ACCA ..very frustrated . It doesnt matter if they are part MCQ( not much intellect required, only selected answers already given). It reminds of a simple driving test or A-Level tests in class ..
. When I studied fOUNDATION Papers they were full theory based and very well examined and if students are incometent to deal with high intellect then ACCA is not for you. Again I regard ACCA as professional preparing accountants in the real world dealing with scenario situationsI hope john you will also encourage ACCA to think about this. You dont want it very difficult and also not easy but reasonable for quality.
June 7, 2014 at 6:08 pm #175062this is really unfair for students who completed all their F level papers and didnt get a good enough average for their bsc and making it easier , equalling all the students who really studied very hard and completed the F level subjects with average marks with students who hardly studied and got marks similar to them . 🙁
June 12, 2014 at 4:53 am #176075hey guys.
my opinions : its a shame that passing marks worldwide are deteriorating year by year. this has been a constant issue and to remedy this, acca board members and examiners have planned to change the format of the papers with 20 questions, 40marks. frankly speaking,. i believe this is a good iniative, as ACCA papers are really tough, imagine us. students doing that full time and some part time.HI participant G,
why are you being disheartened by the fact that competition will be much easier with the high intellect people. you should focus on the worldwide passing mark which is a barrier to the success for ACCA graduates. time has evolved constantly. we need change everywhere.I believe that you should agree with the acca tutors and respect their change as a whole.
Regards
June 19, 2014 at 3:20 pm #177219pls send us f8 specimen
June 19, 2014 at 3:22 pm #177221You can find the specimen exams on the ACCA website.
June 19, 2014 at 10:54 pm #177251Im not certain about the details but there were times when you had to pass all P papers in one sitting. If you passed 3 and failed 1 you had to attempt all over again – even those you passed.
Now imagine how qualified in this system must have felt when ACCA changed their system to currently existing (passing P’s one by one).
July 12, 2014 at 10:39 am #178728where can we get more exam model question…?
