Hi all,
I have few questions for those who already finished MSc Professional Accountancy degree.
1. Is it worth it? Does it add value to you and your career, your salary? If it does, what is it; pride, increase in salary, more respect from your peers? Or is ACCA/CIMA more recognised? Have you noticed if employers appreciate/care about the fact that you have this degree? Or is it there on your CV only as a decoration which is outshined by ACCA/CIMA?
2. How intense is the studying in comparison to ACCA Strategic level exams? (I have SBL and 1 Options exam left)
3. Are online materials provided by university enough? What do they include? Books, videos, quizzes?
4. How are the assessments done? Do you submit them online and they are marked? How about the project itself? Do you just submit it or do you need to talk about it in front of the teacher (via Video Conference, for example)?
5. Please share your general experiences, any likes and dislikes. Any problems with teaching methods, speed of tutor responses to your questions? etc.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

I started the PG Cert, the exams are just as difficult so I gave that up because I failed the exam part and also I became an ACCA member, so now I am doing the MSc pathway 2 starting Jan 2020. Let’s see how that goes.
I’d say, the courseworks and exam require a lot of dedication.
I think it is worth doing it. There is also another similar qualification with RGU MSc in Accounting & Finance which can be completed within 9 months. Have a look.

If one complete the MScPA from UoL with Pathway 1 options (ACCA student), does that lead to exemption from two professional/advanced papers or marks obtained on two modules for MSc is considered to be for the 2 remaining professional/advanced papers. In other words, what is mentioned in your ACCA transcript, the marks you obtained form the the exam you wrote for MsC or the word “exempt”?
