Chapter 10 example 6
Lasma and goda
W3 consolidated retained earnings
L G
Per question $6500 $2020
$ 5200 $1180
dividend ($1700) ($200)
Pre acq ——- ——-
Post acq $3000
L’s share $2700 90%
————
$12700
Can you correct my working 3 if it is incorrect
I believe that it should be only $12,395
6,500 Lasma brought forward
5,200 Lasma this year
180 Lasma, dividend from Goda (90% x 200)
515 Share of Goda post acquisition retained (90% x (1,180 – 200) x 7/12)
12,395 total for working W3
But why are you doing this? Practice working 3 by using questions where working W3 is relevant!
Ohk thank you sir
You’re welcome
