Hi all, I can’t find any stats from ACCA about how many students take each option paper. The only stats I can find are percentage pass rates for each paper, plus the total number of all exams taken (not per paper).

    Any ideas please?

(I am guessing most people either do AAA+ATX or AFM+APM)

It depends on what area of accountancy the person is working in. In practice the majority take ATX and AAA. Based on class sizes at Kaplan these are most popular (my ATX class was full – around 30ish maybe, AAA also looked quite full compared to 4 in my AFM class and APM not even offered at the time I was studying)

My guess would be APM is the most popular, when you look at the syllabus it looks fairly easy and quite similar to the old P3. Probably also why it has such a low pass rate as people tend to underestimate it (I know I did).
