Morlich Question- Business process Reengineering Dec. 2022 Exam
Business Process Engineering is the redesigning of a process rather than making Improvements to an existing process.
As the products are close to perfect and there are few or no complaints about them, suppliers can deliver the products to customers directly. However, initial cost may be incurred but money will be saved as morlich is currently spending time in checking products with little or no fault. This will also mitigate the time spent in delivering goods to customers and hence boost customer satisfaction.
The optician can order for the product themselves rather than having an administrator do the task. This will reduce unnecessary cost for the company as administrator staff could be reduced. However, optician may not want to perform the tasks as they may feel it is not their job , despite the fact that it will save morlich money in the long run.
Consideration should be given to reduce the number of suppliers morlich deals with as this could Improve cost via economies of scale and hence Improve operating profit margin.
