    for me i used this formular
    y=ax^b
    y= 25* (the 8th unit)^-0.4150 and gave me 59.25. nearest hour 59hrs

    i got the b=-0.4150

    *=b

    this is what i do in the calculator

    8*= times 25

    and than i end up with 10.86 times that by 8 end up with 84

    7 units or 7 more units? if the second it should be

    (25 X 8^log0.75/log2) X 8 =84 is the total of 8 units but we looking for 7 more unit so we have to reduce the first unit time
    84-25= 59 hours

    84 is for 8 units. you then need to deduct the hours for the 1st unit (25 hrs) and you will be left with the hours taken for the next 7 units.

    Hope that helps.

    Although you can use the formula, it is rather easier to use the doubling rule!!

    Making another 7 means that in total you will be making 8.

    The average time for 8 units will be 25 x 0.75^3 = 10.546875
    So the total time for 8 will be 84.38

    Then you carry on as per the answers above.

    (It doesn’t matter whether you use the doubling rule or the formula, but make sure you know the doubling rule because you could be specifically tested on it)

    Thank you everyone!

    Hope I done good on it..

    Not going to discuss the answer as it’s pointless. Can’t do anything about it now.

    Time to move on to F8!!!

    Sam: I have deleted one line of your post. The reason is that the ACCA ask us to remove posts saying what was in the exam until 17:00 UK time (because some people are still taking the exam in parts of the world).
