    There is an outflow of 300,000 at time 0 (the initial cost) and the PV of this is 300,000
    There is a net inflow of 120,000 – 30,000 = 90,000 each year for 5 years. You discount this using the 5 year annuity discount factor at 10%.
    There is an inflow of 20,000 (the scrap) in 5 years time. You discount this using the ordinary present value discount factor for 5 years at 10%.

    I assume that you did watch my free lectures before attempting the mock exam? The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F2 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

    If you are asking whether you get minus points for wrong answers, then no – if your answer is wrong then you just get zero for that question.
