At the start of the year a company had 3200 workers employed . During the year 1720 workers left the company . At the end of the year there were 2000 workers employed . What is the labour turnover? l said 3200+2000 =5200/2 =2600 ( 1720/2600)*100=66% Can you kindly where l am going wrong.Thank you
You are correct in that the average number of workers is 2600.
However the number of workers replaced (which is what we need) is 520. (1720 left, but the number only dropped by 1200, which means that 520 were replaced)
So the labour turnover is 520/2600 = 20%
thank you
You are welcome 🙂
