Hi, just wanting some guidance as to whether this would be considered as mitigating circumstances?
In the run up to the exam I discovered a lump, on checking the doctor referred me for an ultrasound exam. He rang me the day before the exam asking me to go in for the results.
I’ve submitted my appointment letter as proof for my cancer screening, and a full explanation. I sat the exam yesterday but to say it has affected me would be an understatement.
The ACCA will consider things like this in the exam marking??
Yes, but as I have written in answer to many mitigating circumstances posts (please use the search function to review), this will not change the pass/fail outcome except in the case of a marginal fail. This is discretionary marks are only a few and single digits, not tens.

I’ve seen a definition of a marginal fail on the acca website as 45-49. Mitigating circumstances would only help if the score is within these parameters – is that correct ?
