what is the best description of an organizations mission statement ?

C. a quantification of organizations corporate objectives

Why are you attempting questions for which you do not have an answer? You should be using a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA Approved Publishers – they have answers and explanations.
As is explained in Chapter 28 of our free lectures notes and in the lectures working through this chapter, the answer as A.
It does not state the profit target for the coming year, it does not quantify the objectives (quantify means putting numbers to them), and it does not evaluate alternative courses of action.
