Sir, for PYQ Dec 2012 Q1 (a)
1.Why the working 2 and 7 need to deducted $96m?
2.And the note of working 3, how its possible that dividend received from associate will exceed the TCI of the associate?
I can’t find it in the practice kit, please help, thank you.

This is a question about vertical groups
Vertical groups have not been in the syllabus for many years
I recommend that you concentrate only on questions from a recent exam kit
Otherwise you may prepare yourself for an exam in totally the wrong style
