The formula that you use in the lecture for finding the standard deviation and variance is different from what is given in the exam…. I tried using both formulas but I couldn’t get the same answer. pls help
The formulae given on the formula sheet are not different at all (except that the use the sigma symbol for the standard deviation!). It is exactly as I do it in the lecture.
(For the standard deviation, the formula sheet also has a second formula, but that only complicates things and is not needed).
