Please can help me how this question is answered. I am a newbie to scientific calculators and cant work out how to enter it
Mean growth in earnings per share = 100 x [(35·7/30·0)1/3 – 1] = 5·97% or 6%
how exactly do i enter this into a calculator to come up with the answer 5.97%.
Thanks
Hi @tony182,
Well, if you could mention the name and model of your Calculator I would be able to assist you better…
Because the keys would be different for different calculator…
Just follow the step below
Do the calculation one at a time
[(35.7/30.0)^1/3 – 1] x 100
Solve 35.7÷30.0
=
Then press ANS
Press ^ (or x with a box – depending on which calculator model you are using)
The above key is usually below the replay arrows button and just besides x² button
After this Insert the following (1÷3)
Press =
Then select ANS again and insert -1
=
ANS
x 100
I hope this solves it
thank you
You’re welcome!
