Hi John,
Might be a silly question, but looking at one of those ‘which one of the following is/are correct’,
1. Maximising market share is an example of a financial objective.
2. Shareholder wealth maximisation is the primary financial objective for a company listed on a stock exchange.
3. Financial objectives should be quantitative so that their objective can be measured
Answer is 2 & 3.
If number one had said ‘market share price’ instead of market share, would all 3 then be correct?

Yes – it would then be correct because it can be measured in $’s.
Share of the market is not a financial objective.
