Sir John 1 question I want to ask that there are few topics which are not covered in OT notes and lectures, but these topics are examined in Exam KIT (kaplan), e.g advantages and disadvantages of spreadsheets is being asked in MCQs in kaplan kit, so for such MCQ shall I read and learn directly from the kaplan KIT OR should open a study text and read and learn from there?

My notes and lectures cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. Anything not covered is either never asked, or (if asked) is only ever for a very few marks.

As far as spreadsheets are concerned, this is a perfect example. They are examined in Paper F2 and are very unlikely to be asked in Paper F5.

Watch the lectures and attempt the questions in your Exam Kit. If anything is not clear either in the lectures or in questions from your Exam Kit, then ask here and I will help you.

    1) “My notes and lectures cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. Anything not covered is either never asked, or (if asked) is only ever for a very few marks.” Sir, does this comment just applies to F5 OR it also applies for all Acca papers from F1 to P7?

    2) As advantages and disadvantages of spreadsheets is being asked in MCQs in kaplan kit (F5), so for such MCQ shall I read and learn directly from the kaplan KIT OR should open a study text and read and learn from there?

In 1) I meant to ask that does the notes and lectures of other Acca papers (from F1 to P7) cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well. Anything not covered is either never asked, or (if asked) is only ever for a very few marks?

    1. Yes – it is the same for all of lectures on our website for all papers. What we lecture is the same as what we lecture on face-to-face courses (and the same as what you would hear if you attended face-to-face lectures with any tuition provider). The only difference of course is that you cannot ask questions in class as you would be able to on a face-to-face course, which is why we have the Ask the Tutor Forums.

    2. For spreadsheets, most students these days will have used spreadsheets at work and so should be able to answer any questions without needing to study them. If not, then best is to learn from the answers in your Exam Kit and, again, to ask in this forum if anything in the answers is not clear to you.
