Hi
To answer question on acquisitions or mergers, can we use Mckinsey’s 7s model ? While going through this model I could relate to the problems any acquisition could face like styles, structures, stragies and other factors between the companies.
Please advise if this is ok or else please let me know of a better alternative.
Also I would like to know how to use the value chain analysis. I have not come across any questions in this context.
Thank you.
You can use 7s in takeovers and mergers: these are all the things that have to be got right.
Value chain: look at Independent Living, Q2 Dec 09 P3 exam. I know it’s P3 but it gives a good rundown of value chain and how performance could be improved.
