Hi All
I have taken F6 3 times and failed all thre (45,46,48) you just could not script it.
I think there must be something i am doing wrong. I make notes from the text book then in the last weel hammer past paper questions.
Can you please share how you have passed or plan to prepare for F6 so that i could maybe take something from it please
Thanks
Paul
September 12, 2012 at 11:37 am #104948I would start doing practice questions a lot further in advance than a week before the exam. I am doing the same as you at the minutes – making notes from the book, but I’ll probably start doing practice papers mid-October so that I’ve got plenty of time to sort out any things that I can’t do. I start of gradually by working through the questions alongside the textbook, then work up to doing them without any aids once I’ve got the gist of things.
September 17, 2012 at 3:20 pm #104949Follow all of opentuition lectures, Make notes from textbooks, put a lot of study into the main areas (Income Tax, Corporation Tax) but dont neglect the other areas.
Probably a daft question but are you showing all of your workings? Just a thought?
Try to work through the study questions at the end of your chapters regularly and to time (i.e. 1.8 minutes per mark).
If you go wrong – follow it through and find out why youve gone wrong, and if you cant find why – use opentuition’s Ask the Tutor forum – they are very good.Hang in there – you’ll pass !!
Best of luck
