maam in a maater and evidence question how do I know how many marks are reserved for discussing the matter and how many fro the evidence? do I assume equal marks are there for both? Or more for matter and less for evidence or vice versa?
can you pls elaborate on this maam…
Please download a recent published exam question paper/answers for reference – at the end of each answers pdf you will find the published marking scheme. You will see for example in M/J21 that there is no split drawn between maters and evidence. In theory, therefore, you could get full marks for only matters or only evidence. However, following the principle that “the first marks are always the easiest” (and later ones that you might try to “squeeze out” will most likely be repetition), you would be more likely to get full marks going for a fairly even balance.
(I should point out for future users of this forum that this advice will change for exams w.e.f. September 2022, but NOT for exams before June 2022.)
perfect! thanks much ma’am!
You’re welcome!
