    If one question consists of 2 part of questions, and the total marks is 12 marks.
    How we should allocate?half half?
    If i write 10 points for part 1 and 2 points for part 2 will that be acceptable?

    If the split is not shown you should assume that it is approximately evenly split (if it was otherwise, the split would have to be given).

    7/5 or 5/7 would be acceptable as 6/6 is approximate (so the markers would be given some latitude). However, there would be some “cap” – which isn’t given in the published marking (so I can’t be specific about what it would be – it might be 7 or 8).

    So what you suggest would not be acceptable.
