Hello sir.do you know what’s the marking scheme of SBL paper. For every one point how many marks are awarded
If question asks you what are the financial ananlysis of a startegy.
If answer is made by finding out the financial fact which impact particular to the company, how many marks will be awarded 1 or 2

The marking schemes published by ACCA at the end of their model answers usually state “Up to two marks per well-explained point”.

I suggest that means 0.5 for identifying something relevant and 1.5 for explaining/developing it.

In your example about financial analysis of a strategy, this might mean:

1 The company intends to borrow highly to achieve strategy (0.5)

2 This means high gearing and high risk of company failure, but shareholdings not diluted. Is security available? Are shareholders comfortable? Might an alternative approach be better? (1.5)

    THANKS Ken
Just to get myself more clear
Suppose in question exhibit we identify the recession problem and after I explain because of recession people intend to buy less hence sales of the company will be declined
    Will it get 2 marks?

That’s the sort of thing you need. Note that the questions are often linked to giving advice. If that’s the case then potentially taking it further this could lead on to suggestions like:

    Don’t expand
    Reduce capacity and costs
Perhaps develop lower priced goods that would suit a recession

Don’t be too whimsical: stay relevant to what’s in the scenario and requirements.

Thanks sir for further clarifying it. In cofold construction exam question
    Question 1 (a)

Analyse the financial and non financial issues which can effect whether to accept or not the contract (worth 18 marks)

    If I answer like this
Cofold Construction expertise are making roads on flat surfaces while BETAL (new contract) is on mountains is of first kind.Company might not have not professionals for the project.
And at the end i will conclude whether to accept or not
    Will it get 2 marks

Good but you could be a little more active in what you say. So your second sentence could go:

[The] Company might not have not professionals for the project and, if not, it will need to see if suitable professionals can be hired or a suitable consulting firm engaged.
