    Hi,

Say for example if there were 5 marks allocated to a question such as for procedures and you gave more than 5 to play it safe, will the examiners carry on marking and award you for your 5 best points so if one were incorrect you won’t get penalised?

Also does giving more points than required reduce your professional marks?

It would compromise professional marks if you were asked for “significant” or “principal” things but responded with trivial points because you’ve hedged your bets on quantity over quality.

You will also penalise yourself by spreading your answer too thinly.

Success in AAA calls for thinking more and writing less – see the “Read the mind of a marker” article.
