Hi
I am looking at the e-marketing, the 4 Is, interatvity, intelliegence, independence and individualisation
I dont understand what they mean by independence, according to my views, I think it means to move production to a different region to target other customers who they believe they are interested in the product. this was in ECOCar june 11 paper.
Thanks
there are usually 6Is quoted:
Intelligence, individualisation, interactivity, integration, independence and industry structure.
Independence means independence from geographical location. it doesn’t just mean moving production. Selling over the internet means that the company does not need a high street presence. Also, small companies van gain a global shop-window through their internet site.
Hi sorry, can you expain the last part of your sentence? you mean on the internet they have their own sign displayed at there web page.
Can you explain porters diamond please, where would you likely to use this model?
Thank you
The internet allows small, specialist companies potentially to have the world as their market place. Google searches help to find these companies whereas conventionally, they were quite hard to find and often relied on relatively local trade.
For Porter’s Diamond see:

at about 4.24. This topic would be specifically asked for eg explain the competitive strength of nations.
