I’m having last minute panic attack.I have done two questions regarding weather to chose a March,June or Sept futures. and i got both of them wrong

Does anybody have a quick tip on how to quickly tell which futures to buy/sell.

Do you tell the month by when the futures expires or the months it starts?

PLEASE HELP..It could be the difference to my 48% or 51% if you know what I mean

In the exam you choose the first futures finishing after the date of the transaction.

(So if the transaction is in February, you choose March futures. If it is in April you choose June futures)

    For buying or selling:

If it is currency futures then you look at what currency the contract size is quoted in. If the transaction involves buying that currency, then you buy futures. If the transaction involves selling that currency then you sell futures.

If it is interest rate futures, then if you are borrowing money then you always sell futures. If you are depositing money then you buy futures.

Thank you very much John.Much appreciated.

So if today is 1Dec and I need to borrow money in 8 months for a period of 4 months.

I need to sell Sept Futures right?

Because the loan is actually starting in July
