I’m so happy to have passed with 56 in my third attempt. I found AA was quite a hard one to pass. Next one is FM which I feel is going to be even harder than this.
April 15, 2024 at 2:22 am #703971Failed AA 4th time. Answer all questions but still got 34. What am I missing?

April 15, 2024 at 8:21 am #703997I passed with 64 in my first AA attempt! I would say practicing past exam questions and making use of the examiner reports was effective.

April 15, 2024 at 9:34 am #704021Passed with 52%, first attempt.

April 15, 2024 at 2:15 pm #704074Failed at 42
April 15, 2024 at 8:10 pm #704118Passed at first attempt 54%.
My tips would be to go straight into section c practice questions and work backwards from there. Almost all section c questions follow a similar structure and make up 70% of the marks

April 17, 2024 at 4:26 pm #704228Sorry man for that.I surely understands what it is like to go below 50%; after all the effort and stuff. However, I personally think you should revise your study method. These results have been coming to you as a surprise and you’ve been questioning where exactly it might be going wrong.May be, its high time you do as many past exam papers as possible and deeply familiarize with the ‘questioning and expected response’ issues. After each attempted question, make it a norm to mark for yourself as honestly as possible using the suggested answer.Compare your answer to the suggestedone, note down any weaknesses in your response and work on these in the next attempted practice question.Continuously doing so will help you develop practical experience to answering real exam questions.I learnt this after my first AA attempt.I actually thought I was above 75% but got surprised with a 39%.I was devasted. But when I incorporated the past exam paper approach, it is then that I knew I deserved that mark.In ACCA, the way you answer matters as equally as the knowledge you obtained from notes.Past exam paper attempts can also help you brainstorm, etc. Remember the key is being honest: setting mock exam conditions and afterwards marking for yourself and taking corrective action.Good luck!

Hi! What approach did you take to study AA? I am taking the September sitting and there is so much to cover, feels really overwhelming.
