Passed with 54…finally my acca journey is over…AAA for me was one of the easiest papers to study & at the same time one of the toughest exam papers to pass..congrats to everyone who passed this & good luck to everyone who didnt in the next attempt…just keep the faith
April 17, 2023 at 12:17 am #682786Passed 1st attempt with 54%, was a tough exam and the worst I’ve done on an ACCA paper. Onto SBL in June for my final exam! Good luck to everyone.
April 17, 2023 at 12:30 am #682796Failed again and shocked after completing all the paper! I’m not sure what to do next…… very disappointed.
April 17, 2023 at 12:30 am #682798My final paper, pass with 60, first attempt! Thank you Opentuition to help me through this journey in 2,5 years with 10 papers! All passed at first attempt self-study, most without text book, with just opentuition lectures!
Thank you so very much, I really cry now..
April 17, 2023 at 12:32 am #682801Passed the UK paper 4th attempt with 53%.. I am finally finished with exams.
This paper was tough for me, I found the syllabus easy but could not answer the questions in the time given no matter how hard I tried.
I think this time I got lucky, previous marks being 44, 48, 48.Opentuition has been my sole provider for studying and has saved me a small fortune so I am very grateful and cannot thank them enough.
For anyone who did not succeed this time, don’t give up. It’s hard but you’ve come this far already, just keep trying and you will make it!
April 17, 2023 at 12:35 am #682803Last paper AAA with 62% using Opentuition. I am so overwhelmed and relieved to be finally done. Thank you!
April 17, 2023 at 12:51 am #682814What is the best approach to give yourself the best chance of passing this paper?
Thanks in advance for responses.
April 17, 2023 at 1:02 am #68281751 and officially done with ACCA. Can’t even say I’m happy but just extremely relieved.
April 17, 2023 at 1:07 am #682819It’s an annoyingly difficult paper to pass. Relieved that I passed it after 3rd attempt.
April 17, 2023 at 2:34 am #682839Failed with 44% and no idea on where and how. Went through opentution notes, lectures and revisions. Quite interesting when studying. I think I’m quitting ACCA because I’m really confused. I failed together with SBR 46% .
April 17, 2023 at 3:24 am #682846Failed 43%- first attempt. Really disappointed.
April 17, 2023 at 5:14 am #682860Thank you open tuition. Passed with 53% after multiple attempts. All the while I wasn’t really practising instead was just auditing the answers.( like I was just practising 50:50 not a quality way of practising)
1. I passed in this attempt simply because I practiced the past year questions to timed condition.
– Through practicing you tend to understand the ISAs & IFRSs much better and in that way you get to memorise them more easily and also you will know how to apply them.
– You will improve with your writing styles/tones eg: when you got to challenge mng’s assumptions, you have to question them, doubt them,Just use the PYQS no need to use any revision kits.
– *Remember its not about practising hundreds of questions, instead its about the QUALITY of your practising. So just stick to the PYQS published on the website and practice them to TIMED again and again, trust me each time you’ll answer differently.2. This time right after completing each past year set, i quickly read the relevant examiners report. This is very important as you will learn 5 things:
– what the marker is expecting
– some exam techniques
– Mistakes that you should avoid.
– Note: Most of the mistakes highlighted by the examiners were the same mistakes that I did during my question practice, if I have not read the examiners report I wouldn’t have realized this. So reading these reports can save you from losing marks.– Sometimes the examiner will highlight answers provided by some candidates which are acceptable and you will not find these in the Answer sheets published.
3. I watched ACCA videos on YouTube. This was really helpful in developing the exam techniques.
4. Also I read some ( not all ) Technical articles , like the one on planning questions and risks, and few other articles where I feel I’m quite weak at. The Technical articles will highlight and provide some scenarios on how to answer exam questions.
5. I used open tuition notes and the notes are sufficient and easy to understand.6. This is very important: The key to exam success is not only about studying and practicing but also to believe in yourself and staying positive at all times.
Every single day give a positive affirmation to yourself that YOU WILL PASS in your AAA exam in this next sitting itself. Just focus on the positivity and trust me slowly you will see the changes in you and you will become more motivated to study as well. Try not to worry too much about the difficulty, don’t overthink, just keep practicing and tell yourself that you will be fine. Don’t give up.
Sorry for the long message because I really want to help those of you who have failed because I know how it feels like.
Hope this helps some of you. Stay positive, believe in yourself and always be confident in whatever you do.
All the best:-)April 17, 2023 at 6:21 am #682872Failed again with 35% marks , previous time my score was 30%. Not sure what else to write in paper , i answered all questions.i knew where i made mistakes but my performance was better than other acca exams i passed till date.
This being a subjective exams is tough to score.May be i opted for wrong optional paper.i will still go for one more attempt.April 17, 2023 at 6:26 am #682876Failed with a 44.
And this is after I practiced literally every question in the exam kit, re-wrote more than half of those exam kit questions and sent them to my teacher for marking and feedback, did chapter wise tests, did 3 timed mocks and got them checked, read all relevant technical articles, watched videos on YouTube to get to know exam technique, read the course material thoroughly.I don’t understand what more can a student possibly do? I don’t understand what went wrong? Except during the exam, my answers kept getting erased on their own. When I fully completed question 2 and went back to question 1, my points worth 9 marks were missing!
Consulted the invigilators and they had no clue, had to re-write those points which wasted some time, like this I wasted 20 minutes in discussion with invigilators and re-writing. I could barely finish last question, I could’ve done a lot in 20 minutes. This is the most hopeless day of my life.
April 17, 2023 at 10:29 am #682948Pls don’t give up. You are actually almost there. Try watching Ben Wilson’s video on techniques to pass. It helped me a lot especially with the professional marks.

Passed with 51% 1st attempt. I was thinking that I’d gonna fail this time during the exam, but I just kept writing, trying to get some more professional marks 5 minutes before the exam ends.
I do think that some professional marks pushed me from fail to pass.April 17, 2023 at 11:29 am #682975Passed with 62, first attempt.
April 18, 2023 at 10:19 am #683117Thank you Opentuition community. AAA was one of my last two papers I did in March sitting, and I passed it with 67%, first attempt. I used Opentuition from day one and now after four years, I am an affiliate. Thank you again!
April 19, 2023 at 4:08 pm #683211Exactly the same for me. it seems easy to study but very difficult to Pass. I almost gave up after 3 tries. Made it with the 4th try and AFM left.
