Are the lectures on Opentuition sufficient or is it important to also read the study text of BPP?

Please see here my post about changes from 2018-19 to 2019-20 https://opentuition.com/topic/book-for-june-19-still-valid-for-sep-19-attempt/

Whether you want or need a textbook depends on how much knowledge you have retained from AA (F8) – whether you have any practical auditing experience – whether you are prepared to research the internet for more information to fill in any gaps.

Regarding approach – because exam style and standard questions cover multiple topics (especially Q1) you should aim to study the syllabus before practicing exam style and standard questions.

You will find a useful summary with links to essential reading – AAA “on one page” here https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/technical-articles/approaching-aaa.html

And the study support guide here has a plan to help you plan your studies https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/self-study-guides.html It includes tips and checklists and has a useful “getting started” section.

I am not in possession of the books – I can only say what should be the changes. Please see here my post about changes from 2018-19 to 2019-20 https://opentuition.com/topic/book-for-june-19-still-valid-for-sep-19-attempt/

Sir i have no auditing work experience but i do have some F8 knowledge retained with the OT notes and lectures and I am surely in for researching the internet for more information to fill in any gaps.
I want to concentrate on the OT lectures/notes plus ACCA resources plus revision kit for my preparation.
Now would it be okay if i ignore the study text?

Hello sir now im actually very confused, i have bpp study text and revision kit(current version) but unsure whether i read the study text and neglect the OT lectures/notes or do the opposite.
    Sorry for the repeated questions

Perhaps you should try out both – choose a topic and read a chapter of the notes and listen to the lecture – reflect on how you “enjoyed” it as a learning experience – do you like the way the notes are written? Then read the relevant chapter in BPP – do you prefer the way that it written? Do you think you got a lot more out of it?
I can’t choose for you but I know many students are happy to use the notes and lectures and have the text to fall back on for additional reading.
