    Hi Sir,

I am planning on taking P7 in March and starting to study from Jan onwards will the time be sufficient to take on P7 in March?

This will be my first attempt and I do not have any clue about it, but I’ve got the updated Versions of the Revision Kit and the Study Text. I am currently going through the OT lectures.

Could you please advise me on how to tackle this paper with some tips on studying as well pls.

    Thank you!

Put the study text away in a dark room or, better still, put it in the post to a fictitious address with no return address shown

Open your revision kit and start reading – question, answer, question, answer, question, answer on and on, hour after hour, over and over, again and again

Listen to the lectures (there’s nothing to watch!)

Read the course notes (2 hours at most if you just read through and don’t even begin to think about starting to “learn” the notes – just read) and read those notes once each week

    Read the examiner’s reports

Read the examination technique articles by (1) me and (2) by a member of the P4 marking team – you’ll find both those articles on the P7 home page

Read the last 10 technical articles

And during all the months that you’re reading this stuff, you’ve not forgotten to read the revision kit – question, answer, question, answer, question, answer on and on hour after hour

Do this until just 2 weeks before the exam and then post again for the second (and final) piece of advice

And if you should come across anything that you don’t fully understand, post again on this forum and I shall get back to you

But make sure you read and re-read those questions, answers, questions, answers, questions, answers on and on hour after hour

You ask “will the time be sufficient to take on P7 in March?”

I don’t know! I don’t know what other demands there are on your time nor how much time you are prepared to spend following this advice

Certainly P7 has been successfully attempted in the past with only 2 months’ preparation so it IS doable

    OK?
