Please do not ask the same question in two different forums.
The market value is of no relevance for Paper MA (except in the special case of joint product costing where using market values is one way of splitting the joint costs between products when more than one product is produced in the same precess.
This is all explained in my free lectures – they are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
