    Hello,

    I am currently studying LW-Eng and I would like to ask you a question regarding the time that a company has to keep its accounting records for. I have just read that it is 3 years for a private company and 6 years for a public one. However I always thought that the period is 6 years for all companies. I also looked it up on the gov.uk website and it says 6 years. I am using a 2023 textbook and I was thinking that maybe they changed this rule recently. Can you please let me know what are these periods. Thank you in advance for your help.
