Dear John,
In the recommended technical article of Receivable collection example, two of factor kindly help me to understand why the difference of 1% in bed debts not taken in the account rather then 3% saving in bad debt is considered?
September 29, 2019 at 3:33 pm #547620It is because the example states that it is non-recourse factoring. With non-recourse factoring the factor bears all of any bad debts, and the company does not suffer any of them.
I do explain this in my free lecture notes and the free lectures that go with them.
(Although you should read all the technical articles, I hope you are not using only the articles for studying because they do not cover all the syllabus – only parts of it. You do need to either watch my free lectures (which are a complete free course) or alternatively use a Study Text from one of the ACCA approved publishers. In addition, regardless of how you choose to study, it is essential that you do buy a Revision Kit from one of the approved publishers because they are full of past exam and other exam standard questions for practice, because question practice is vital to passing the exam (the exams available on the ACCA website are not enough, and are not all in the current exam format and are not all applicable to the current syllabus.)

Thank you so much. I will definitely follow your advice. The problem I am facing is time management.
Kind Regards
