Hi All,
As I hold a MSc in Finance and passed all the three levels of the CFA, I have received exemptions up to the Management Case Study exam. As I am new to CIMA, I would like to ask this community how to best prepare for that, if it is sufficient to refer only to the Management Case Study text book or if I should also study the modules (E2, P2, F2).
Thanks a lot!
G
Hi Gus
I have the same question –
I was thinking of studying E,P and F2 to prepare.
Do the tutors/fellow readers agree this is a good call?
Cheers
Hi,
I’m also in the same predicament and would really appreciate some help around the professional gateway route. I have been watching the E2, F2 and P2 videos and study notes. Just asking myself if there’s something more I should be doing.
You need to do both but more importantly exam technique and applying the solution to the given company is what you need to practise.
Thanks a lot for the response. It is really appreciated
I am in the same situation and am learning the content is less important to the way in which you answer the questions. How do we learn ‘exam technique and applying the solution’?
Best way would be joining a study course for the case study where they show you how to answer the questions and also mark your mock exams. Past exam papers and looking at their solutions on the CIMA website would also help. Of course you still need to know the content but from an overview level, the detail then comes from using the actual fictional company to apply it to the scenario.
