HI John, Im struggling to understand the algebra behind rearranging the equation i have seen the previous answers to this question but do not really explain whats been done to the formula would be grateful if an explanation could be given especially on how the figure 1.175 has occurred.
12 = kei + 0.7 (kei – 4) (20/80)
12 = kei + 0.175 (kei – 4)
12 = kei + 0.175 Kei – 0.7
12.7 = 1.175 Kei
Kei = 12.7 / 1.175 = 10.8
In the first equation, the last term is 0.7(kei – 4) (20/80)
If you multiply the 0.7 by (20/80), is gives 0.175 (Kei – 4)
Let me know if you can’t follow the rest of it 🙂
Thanks john i understood that part
I dont get how the equation went from this
12 = kei + 0.175 Kei – 0.7
To This
12.7 = 1.175 Kei
I understand you add 0.7 to cancel it on the right and have to add it on the left. But how did it become 1.175 Kei.
Sorry john i was being a bit slow
Kei + 0.175Kei = 1.175
Correct 🙂
