Hi
I have seen in different forum that too many students not being paid refund by LSBF.
My refund is still pending with the management. Its been approved by LSBF it was just an overpaid fees paid by me.
Now it is taking them more then one year to issue back the amount of 600.
Its pathetic how the management and refund department is being run.
I am taking legal action against them now. Every time when I call either they are out of office, not on the desk, out for lunch,
day off on holiday or any other excuse.
I have started recording the conversations of the staffs being made. There attitude towards the refund. I was assured by Beverly Stewart that the refund is on its way and will be issued within 7 days. Now its more than 2 months.
I am recording all the conversations on call and all the same automated email responses form there end in the court.
Why can’t they just transfer a simple procedure and transfer the funds.
I will be dragging all the persons to court if my refund is not issued at the earliest.
I am sick of waiting and the staffs attitude.
Hope all the students refund is issued.A Khan

11168January 22, 2014 at 11:28 am #154304You should not say bad things about ACCA and their tuition and study material providers. You can offend them.
ACCA can track you down and take disciplinary action against you.
January 22, 2014 at 12:17 pm #154307But he has not said anything bad about the ACCA.
ACCA do not own LSBF and so it is nothing to do with ACCA and they certainly cannot take disciplinary action.

did you disclose to them that you are recording all the conversation?this might play out as violation of privacy and could be indicated as an unlawful act on your part since you cannot do that without their consent..make sure you know what you doing..good luck..
January 23, 2014 at 7:04 am #154348It depends on the country.
In the UK it is not unlawful to record conversations without consent if it is for own use. Its only unlawful if given to a third party!May 24, 2014 at 8:40 am #170448I’ve been a LSBF student for less than a year. It was cool for the first half of the year, until this march when the course opened for June session. I found the notes super thin, and the lecturer recording less detailed. It gave me the sense that they were not really doing their part on helping student getting the knowledge. Francis was a good lecturer though. Almost all of their lecturers are not accountant by trade.
I’ve also worked in private schools in Singapore. When I found out the LSBF scams few minutes ago, I felt everything was so familiar. Those Brits and the Singaporeans, they are just the same in this regard. The LSBF scams are everyday episodes in private schools in Singapore. Maybe those Singaporeans learnt that skill from the Brits, maybe the other way round.
I just want to laugh.
I took the free paper left from previous session and paid for one more paper. I was learning the two papers until a moment ago when I realized the interactive website was down. They don’t own me anything, I am lucky.
June 5, 2014 at 11:48 pm #174481I am from Singapore, though I didn’t enrol with LSBF, they really are bad.
I tried to enquire ACCA details with them, 1 staff had an extremely bad aloof attitude, another stuff don’t event know anything on ACCA.
They even told me the most ridiculous thing that CFA was unpopular when it was apart from ACCA the next most popular finance certification.
NEVER EVER PICK LSBF.
June 12, 2014 at 4:47 am #176073@yvon417 I assumed you are taking the lsbf online course. You should try lsbf Singapore classes. I only go to lsbf Singapore for the lecturer not the institute. They have the best lecturer in Sg. Why? Well, they recruite them from the competitors. That is why they are called celebrity tutor. 🙂 they are either from Kaplan/ SAA and they have more than 10 years experience in lecturing and most of them have working experience. Personally, I love their lectures. I do not recommend online courses though 🙂
@ Raymond, that what I heard as well. They have the best lecturer, hence the arrogant attitude but the lecturer had apologise on behalf of them to the students on FB.
CFA, no comment but the lecturer qualification is impressive and he is teaching in SAA as well 🙂 I looking forward for his lesson though.
October 6, 2015 at 8:32 pm #275256Hi,
I don’t even know if anyone will reply on this forum anymore. But I’ll give it a try. Last year I got accepted at LSBF and got told that in order to secure my space I had to pay a deposit of I £3000. This was especially required for overseas students.
Later something came up and I decided to decline the offer. They refused to give me a refund and they told me that I was no longer available to study the course. I could either do it online or apply at another campus . If I wanted to I could apply again next year for the same course. I still didn’t want to study at LSBF and applied for a full refund. The application was not accepted. My GP had provided me with necessary medical documents which I attached in the application.
It took ages for LSBF to get back to me. I tried to contact them with no luck. Later my contact person at LSFB got back to me after I had submitted a complaints form to the university with all the necessary documents, included the emails from LSBF.
The application was refused. My contact person told me to submit all the required documents one more time, but this time through a link which he sent me. The link didn’t work! I contacted him about this, but again with no luck!
About a month later he got back to me saying that my application had been refused.I spoke to a lawyer in my country (Norway) about this. He told me to find similar cases and contact people who are in the same situation and see what they have done. I was also told to find any organizations that give advice and guidance to students. I really need some help! I need to get the £3000 back!
This is absolutely ridiculous. How is this even legal?
October 6, 2015 at 8:58 pm #275257check and maybe contact some students who left comments under this video exposing it..

Dear friend, LSBF will do anything to retain your money( thats my personal experience). I had similar problem with them . Will not go into details . After battling for them for almost a year, i was told either to take matter to legal action or complaint with your awarding body. I did the second option as awarding body`s need to know whether their partners are acting in good faith or else they should remove their license. Surprise ! they started to act diligently on my case and finally got my money.
For those who are in similar cases, i will advise to do the same or have several student coming together so that they can contribute to take the case to court. But first, before doing anything, exhaust their complaints procedure as ticket for refund and complaints are two different thing!
