losses with scrap value (process costing)

why do abnormal gains have a scrap value? Are these units not supposed to be good units and valued with actual outputs instead of spoiling them and giving them a scrap value?

I don’t know what you mean by ‘spoiling’ them.

You really need to watch the free lectures on process costing – I explain and show what to do with gains as well as losses.

I am sorry but I cannot possible type out the whole lectures here.
