sir in case of long life assets(working life ?25years) is there any rule like, expenditure per annum on that LLA needs to be more than or equal to 100,000pounds? and if there is any such rule, then if the expenditure is less than 0.1m pounds, the asset is transferred to main pool?
instead of going to special rate pool had the expenditure on the LLA been more than 0.1m pounds
There are 2 issues to consider, firstly is the asset a LLA – if yes then the 2nd question is whether the total LLA expenditure in the period exceeds £100K (based on a 12 M period) – if also yes then the LLA treatment will apply and any expenditure above the AIA limit (now very unlikely apart from very large businesses as the AIA limit is £1M) will be allocated to the SR pool.
