Has anyone ever heard of this term? My company use it to describe allocated budget for a capital investment project for the feasibility stage. As i understand it, this is so it can be capitalised
We prepare our accounts to IFRS standards, so any spend on researching feasibility should be written off prior to approval of the capex spend. I have looked on line, but cant find any details of what ‘long lead spend’ actually is, and am a bit concerned it will cause issues when audited
