Who is an official receiver? What role does the latter have in a voluntary winding up?
The Official Receiver is a civil servant. There is an Official Receiver for each town and city within the UK and they carry out the duties of liquidating companies when appointed by the Court to do so under a compulsory liquidation order
What role in a voluntary winding-up? None
