Will you please elaborate more on the condition that has to be met by the question in order for me to do a linear programing graph or the simplex method
Hi, thanks for your question. The simplex method is not examinable for CIMA P1 .
In order to use linear programming then it will be sitauations with two products only & a range (two or more limitations/ constraints on production ) – for example – situations where you are unsure how many units of product X and product Y to produce -when faced with a short of labour hours and shortage of materials too.
Linear programming lets you find the optimal solution in this case – the best quantity of X and Y to produce to maximise contribution within the constraints set.
Thanks. Cath do you also do Transportation.
Hi – Im not sure what you mean by that question.
Do you mean transposition ? Thats not on the CIMA P1 syllabus either.
Many Thanks
Cath
