Sir
You told in one of your lectures in case of more than one limiting factor , there will only be two products which is covered in PM syllabus .But in one of the section-B scenario qn A company named Beft co. it makes 3 types of products and there are two limiting factors Is it possible in the exam to give such way..?? Just anxious to know whether such type of questions will be asked or not
February 19, 2020 at 5:26 pm #562412I do not have the question because I do not have the Kaplan Kit (only the BPP Revision Kit).
You can only be asked to use linear programming when there are two products. That means that in the question you are referring to then one of three things must be happening:
– you are only asked to set up the equations without being asked to solve it
or
– a fixed quantity of one of the products has to be made, in which case it is only the other two products that share the remaining constraints
or
– you have misread the questionAs you will know from my lectures, you cannot ever be asked to draw the graph – either you will be given the graph in the exam (and with only two axes on a graph there cannot possibly be more than two products), or you will be asked to write up the relevant equations (in which case it does not matter how many products there are since you will not be solving the problem).
February 20, 2020 at 4:26 am #562459Yes sir you are right even though scenario consists of 3 products ,in this specific question they told that out of three products one product has been shut down and since there is two limiting factors and 2products linear prgramming can be used Right sir..?
February 20, 2020 at 7:29 am #562471I assume that is right – but, again, I have not see the actual question.
