The question states:
The figure for professional fees consists of £340 for accountancy and £1,460 for legal fees in connection with the grant of a new five-year lease for business premises.
Why is the examiner adding back the 1460 legal fee in the trading profits? Isn’t it an allowable expense?
If the legal expenses had been for the “renewal” of a short lease then it would be an allowable expense
